DISCLOS / ABOUT
WHO'S BEHIND DISCLOS.
A RESEARCH PRACTICE, NOT A LAW FIRM.
For the full team structure and how the practice is organized, see Inside the practice.
Disclos is an independent compliance research practice focused on a single regulation: the EU AI Act. We exist because reading 144 articles and 180 recitals shouldn't be every SaaS founder's job — but understanding what those articles require of your product is non-negotiable before 2 August 2026.
Our work begins where generic compliance platforms end. We do not sell a SaaS dashboard. We do not sell legal opinions. We produce one thing: a written readiness audit that maps your product, page by page and feature by feature, against the exact articles of the EU AI Act that apply to you.

HOW WE WORK.
Every Disclos audit follows the same six-stage framework: inventory of AI surfaces, risk classification under Articles 5 / 6 / 50 / 52, gap analysis against current product behavior, remediation drafts including disclosure copy and component code, documentation package (model cards, transparency notices, DPA addendum), and a personal Loom walkthrough with the senior reviewer who built the audit.
Each engagement is scheduled into the next available delivery window. We hold capacity intentionally tight — five business days per audit — because the work cannot be rushed and the deadline cannot be moved.
WHAT WE ARE. WHAT WE ARE NOT.
We are researchers. We produce structured checklists, gap reports, and remediation packs. They are designed to make the work your lawyer would charge €10,000 or more to produce 90% obsolete by the time they finish.
We are not lawyers. We do not issue binding legal opinions. We map your product against the published text of the Act, cite the articles and recitals that apply, and hand the findings to whoever signs your final compliance status — your in-house counsel, your DPO, your outside firm, or your board.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE PRACTICE.
Disclos was founded by Gatis Ozols — Latvian EU citizen, SaaS builder, and the lead researcher behind our methodology. After the third founder asked him to explain what the Act meant for their chatbot and the explanation took three days, the practice was born. He reads the Official Journal of the European Union the way most people read Hacker News.
Our standing reference set: EUR-Lex, the EU AI Office bulletins, the Article 56 Code of Practice drafts, the High-Level Expert Group on AI documents, and member-state transposition trackers across all 27 jurisdictions.
AVAILABILITY.
We currently accept a limited number of audits per month to protect our five-day delivery promise. Once you reserve a slot, your engagement is locked into the next open window and confirmed by email within the hour.
