How Disclos Research Practice Uses AI
Last updated2026-05-31
This page describes the AI used in disclos.eu, when it is used, what it produces, and how we comply with the EU AI Act. It is written for visitors and is intentionally non-legal.
If you want the formal version, read our AI Transparency Notice.
What we use AI for
We use AI in two places, both behind the scenes, and a human reviews the output every time.
- Our audit engine. When we audit a customer, an internal engine drafts a first classification of their AI surfaces and candidate findings. The lead reviewer reads and signs off every word before it reaches the customer. The engine runs on Anthropic's Claude.
- Drafting articles. We use a large language model to help draft articles on this site. A human edits and approves every article before it is published.
Where AI shows up in the product
- It does not show up in anything you use directly. There is no chatbot and no assistant on disclos.eu.
- AI sits in our own back-office audit work and in the drafting of articles.
How we tell you when AI is involved
- In articles. Where AI helped draft an article, we say so in the article.
- In your audit. Your deliverable is human-reviewed and signed. We tell you in the report that an internal engine produced the first draft.
- On this page and in our Transparency Notice. Both describe the full picture and stay current.
Where we deliberately do not use AI
- The three tools at /tools/* (penalty calculator, Annex III triage, Article 50 disclosure generator) are rule-based. They apply fixed rules a person wrote. They make no inference and they are not AI systems under Article 3.
- Your final audit verdict. A human decides it. The engine drafts; the lead reviewer decides.
What we do not do
- We do not use AI to score you for credit, insurance, or essential service eligibility.
- We do not infer your emotions in any workplace or educational setting (this is prohibited under Article 5 of the EU AI Act).
- We do not infer race, political opinion, trade-union membership, religion, sex life, or sexual orientation from biometric data. We collect no biometric data.
- We do not use subliminal techniques to alter your behaviour.
How to ask a question or opt out
- AI-related questions: gatis@disclos.eu
- Privacy questions: gatis@disclos.eu
- Your rights under GDPR: see our Privacy Policy
If an automated step noticeably affects you, you can ask for a human to review it. Email us and we will route the request to a human reviewer within two business days.
How we keep this honest
- Our audit engine has an internal model card describing what it does, where it draws data, and how a human oversees it.
- We re-review this page every twelve months, or whenever we ship a new AI feature, whichever comes first.
- We audited disclos.eu against the EU AI Act on 2026-05-31. Audit reference: DSC-20260531-DISCLOS-01. We publish that audit because we hold ourselves to the standard we sell.
Disclos is not a law firm. Researched compliance reference. Not legal advice.
